Irodori is free and needs no registration for any color tool. Please use it for lawful purposes and respect the cultural material it documents.
Accuracy of color values
Traditional color values are researched and reviewed, but they may be corrected as better sources emerge. Verify any value that matters for production against an authoritative source. Modern color conversions follow the published formulas for their space, and WCAG contrast ratios follow the 2.2 specification.
Cultural context
Traditional color names are kept in their original language on purpose. Do not translate them as if they were product names, and do not treat a traditional palette as a design system without checking what the colors meant in their own culture.
API and availability
The /v1 endpoints and the /mcp endpoint are offered as a convenience for your own tooling. They are provided as-is, may change or be rate-limited, and should not be the only dependency of a production system.
