About Nearest color finder
Match a HEX to traditional, Tailwind, Material and RAL colors
How to use
Enter any HEX to find the closest named or brand color from a large reference library.
Nearest color finder
Matching across libraries
The tool converts your HEX to OKLCH and compares it with every candidate using ΔE OK. Smaller values mean the colors look closer under normal viewing.
A match is a starting point, not a replacement: check the original name, cultural context and the final contrast before using it in production.
What the four cards show
The traditional card searches the Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese collections. The design-system card searches Tailwind, Material, Panda and UnoCSS tokens, and the RAL card covers the RAL Classic subset.
Frequently asked questions
Which distance is used?
ΔE OK in OKLCH. It accounts for lightness, chroma and hue, and tracks perceived difference better than plain RGB distance.
Why is my color missing from a library?
The local libraries are curated subsets. If no entry is close, the nearest result may still look noticeably different.
Can I copy a match?
Yes. Every card has a copy button for the HEX value, and the traditional card also shows the native color name.
